Man and machine are yet again facing
each other. Simula has been synonymous with the testing of one's appraisement
skills. The teams have to act like warriors with varied dimensions of
management acting like battlegrounds.
Participants play to win, and in seeking to win, they
imbibe new forms of competitive behavior that are ideal for today's highly
chaotic business conditions. In Simula main emphasis is upon how
you are able to optimize the conditions to amplify your standing in the
market. Here you will be given a virtual company, and you have to flourish
it with limited resources, by properly investing in the various essential
market aspects. The frustration and excitement of managing a company
from top downwards ensures that the learning element are retained
with the participants, longer.
The maximum team-size is 2, one person will be the Chairman
of the company, and the minimum team size is 1.
The Game will be in 5 quarters, and in each quarter the participants will
have to fill their decision form, from where it will get processed and
subsequently balance sheet & inventory data will be given to you after
every quarter.
To shortlist the teams, a
trial quarter would be played(Elimination Round).
Here nothing but your decisions would show your
competence and ability of decision making.
And only the toughest and shrewdest survivors get a crack at the real
jackpots.

1.No. of entries for trial quarters will not be capped and trial quarter will act as an elimination round .
2.The game would consist of four quarters (plus one trial quarter) with different starting conditions for each of them.
3.The net balance, from the previous quarter will be transferred as initial credits into the next quarter.
4.The mutual competition while simulation will be avoided, till later quarter to avoid backstabbing.
5.In every quarter except the trial quarter, the team have to make a crucial decision for maximizing their market share.
6.Winning criterion: Total Net Current Assets +
Fixed Assets - loan amount to be repaid.
7.Any illegal value entered in the submission form would be replaced by default values. No responsibility whatsoever would be taken by the organizers for the human errors in data entry in forms.
8.In all cases, the decisions made by the organizers would be abiding and final.
9.The organizers reserve the right to disqualify the participant on the grounds of not abiding by the rules/misconduct.
10.Final rank list after every quarter will be generated and put up on the web before starting of next quarter.
